About Samantha
My name is Samantha, and I have been a BCBA since 2015, with experience in a variety of roles within the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. I began my journey at Kennedy Krieger’s Feeding Disorders Unit before transitioning to a small ABA practice in Baltimore, Maryland, where I eventually became Clinical Director. Later, I served as Business Development Director, supporting and supervising clients, RBTs, and BCBAs across three locations. In January 2024, I joined a new company as Clinical Director, and we recently opened a large ABA clinic in Rosedale, Maryland.
Throughout my career, one constant has been my passion for mentoring trainees pursuing certification and fieldwork hours. I have supervised approximately 15 trainees directly and contributed to supervision contracts for over two dozen more. My approach emphasizes building a strong foundation in child development, helping clinicians understand the progression of skills in typically developing children, and fostering creativity in teaching strategies by drawing from related fields to enhance clinical practice.
A cornerstone of my philosophy is balancing assent-based treatment with creating a joyful, engaging therapy experience. Inspired by Dr. Greg Hanley’s work, I believe therapy should be safe, fun, and reinforcing, allowing children to feel heard and actively participate in learning. At the same time, I prioritize teaching boundaries and setting clear expectations, helping children navigate their day with confidence and predictability. By blending compassionate, child-led interventions with structured guidance, we empower children to develop essential life skills while maintaining autonomy and connection.
I am also passionate about supporting newly certified BCBAs as they transition into their roles. Navigating caseload management, writing effective treatment plans, and mastering time management can feel overwhelming at first. I provide mentorship, practical strategies, and encouragement to help new BCBAs build confidence, refine their clinical skills, and deliver high-quality, compassionate care to their clients.
I would love to connect with others who share my passions. Feel free to reach out to learn more about my experience and see if we might be a good fit to work together.
